Titles rated T (Teen) have content that may be suitable for ages 13 and older. Titles in this category may contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling, and/or infrequent use of strong language.

Where have we gone wrong here people....crude humor is OK and so are suggestive themes...Looks to me like other than the word PHUQUE and obvious racism, we should be fine...BTW, is simulated consumption of alcohol and drugs (Absinthe) appropriate for a teen audience? I'm just thinking that banning some dude with a toon named Phil McKrackin, Salt E Balls or some other stupid name is...just stupid. Yeah, Fuh Que is obviously in need of a thump from the banstick, but most of the other stuff isn't really offensive...it's just dumb.

Maybe if they stick to banning that which is obviously offensive to large groups of people....hmmmm....leave out religion and race, sexual violence to humans or animals, any sex that is not the missionary position, the "F" word and anything involving Legolas....I think that covers it...It leaves "potty" humor, body part references, 3 of the 7 dirty words you are never able to say on TV (plus the 3 auxiliary), politics and German Baroque Opera...There. We are good to go....lets move on with our lives knowing that Hefty Boobage, Butter Nut Squash, Gherkin Jerker, Oliver Clothesoff, Peter Draggin, Clawd Balls and Squirl E Nut Buster are safe to exist another day.

No. I'm not dumb enough to get myself banned. People, if you get banned for knowingly making a certain IGN, you deserve it. I've never /reported someone for being offended by a name, but honestly... Don't whine about getting your account temp. banned when you should've known you had it coming. If you couldn't tell, get off this planet. >_>

(P.S. I know not all names fall into the glaringly obvious category. There are some fairly harmless names out there that get temp banned anyways.)

Kids see worse on cable T.V., MTV, History Channel, Discovery, BET, Spike, CBS, NBC...just a few.

What's funny in Madd Morgan making Phoenix Tears mad in ref to his/her QQ bits...anyone else enjoying the irony?

Back near topic: What is offensive to some, may be harmless to others...A bald monk named Cancer Patient might rub a few folks the wrong way...My mom had breast cancer, my aunt had it, my uncle died of a brain tumor and a good friend of mine recently recovered from lung cancer...am I offended at the name? Not really. It seems a tad unsensitive, but then, that's the way people are.

Double Amputee, Burn Victim, I Q Seventy, Unstopable Runs...humans suffer and one of the best ways to survive is to find the humor in tragedy. Hell, even Will Shakespear knew that! While some of the things might bother us because it's dumb or meant to make us think, "Ew." the sad fact is that it is mostly harmless stupidity...you know, like farming for titles.

Anything that promotes violence....uh, wait....we kill things in this game, huh? Anything that promotes abuse, racism and hate...I have no problem with eliminating...But for the love of all that's holy, quit being offended by stuff that fits the rating of the game!

Anyone else think the word bewbs is hysterical? Have fun for crying out loud...heh-heh...b-e-w-b-s....

My favorite char's name got banned, after having played it for about 4months.

I loved the name, thought it was funny, creative and amusing. Most guys I met ingame told me "nice name", "funny name" and some others just didn't get the 'joke'. But somehow someone didn't like it... so it got banned.

For all of you (Phoenix namely) saying that it's a shame we make up non-fantasy names, take it from my perspective.

It's a computer game, one I will play, then turn off, and go swimming, work out, chill with friends, engage in real life STUFF.

The environment/story isn't REAL. There's no reason to get involved with your character for any weird fantasy reason.

Sure, roleplayers will exist, but it's quite creepy to force feed players the fantasy aspect. Furthermore, it's actually more infantile to get so enamored with the fantasy aspect than my casual indulgence of immature humor.

I think Phoenix is just trying to say that if you are supposed to be mature, you shouldn't be coming up with names like "lolCockzlol", etc. The name typically reflects on the person. I've never reported anyone with an "inappropriate" name, but I would have doubts about being in the party with someone with a name like that. It makes me think they are immature and will throw random insults at people. It doesn't mean it's necessarily true, but that is what a name like that can connotate sometimes.

Yea well I find names like Masamune Itchiha or Mitsurugi Idutaka extremely annoying and personally I'd rather have "Lololol U Sayd Penus." Well not exactly that immature but I'd like names with a bit of humor. Not everyone needs to go sporting an extremely serious Japanese name.

I have been banned for a name before and i noticed the otherday when i got an item that was precustomised for it it has the original name on it. Thats pretty nice. I hadnt thought about the name i got banned for in about 2 years so it was a good lol when i saw it again.

***on second glance it was a weapon obtained from Arkor Leadfoot in Boreal Station after trading an item to him

If I was going for appropriate I would probably also be doing pve, since thats where all the srs bsns plyrz are.

I play games to have fun, to escape from the mundane reality that is real life. I can't name my kid Kunt Puncher so I'll name a group of pixels Kunt Puncher, got a problem with it, look the other way imo.

Edit: thats not in any way directed towards you fenix, just the srs plyrz.

I understand, I mean I wouldn't go out and report you for the names, I don't have a problem with any names people use.

It only ever takes 1 huge carebear to report you and Anet lay the smack down on your account, unfortunately. Hell, I wouldn't care if they allowed 'censored' words as names, it would at least break the monotony of thousands upon thousands of Naruto, Legolas, and Drizzt Dourden, not counting the other horrible names that people come up with...
